Consumer and Carer Involvement in Comorbidity Treatment

Consumer and Carer Involvement in Comorbidity Treatment

Client: Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing

Health Outcomes International conducted a study on the involvement of people with coexisting mental health and substance use disorders (comorbidity) and their carers in treatment planning services. The project required a literature review and a series of stakeholder focus groups with both carers and consumers in NSW, WA and Queensland. The study was used to ultimately inform the development of national comorbidity guidelines.
