Analysis of the Workforce for Antenatal Down's Syndrome Screening

The National Screening Unit (NSU) undertook a comprehensive policy process to assess the various options for antenatal screening for Down's syndrome and to determine whether a national screening programme for antenatal Down's syndrome screening should be established in New Zealand. Health Outcomes International conducted a comprehensive workforce analysis, consulting with key stakeholders and health professionals, including midwives, general practitioners, obstetricians, sonographers, laboratories and counsellors, about their capacity to change or increase screening services.
