Specific Competence:

Arden is a Senior Consultant in HOI's Auckland office who specialises in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Her key research interests lie at the intersection of social/health services and the promotion of community based approaches and holistic health. Accordingly, she has a keen interest in primary health and psychological and social services research.

An experienced project manager, Arden excels in coordinating large research teams and managing long and short-term evaluations. Recently, Arden has applied her consulting skills in a range of health and community care projects across programme evaluation, service funding, workforce development, chronic care patient management, family/whānau engagement and patient outcomes. Her project work spans the Health, Social Development, Police and Education sectors.

Prior to joining HOI, Arden's research and clinical experience included a study funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Health into adolescent perceptions of smoking in film, and research roles with the University of Auckland, Television New Zealand, the University of Toronto, and the University of Texas at Austin. Arden is a published author in the field of health psychology.
