Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences with Honours, University of Adelaide
• Graduate Statistician accreditation, Statistical Society of Australia Inc.
Specific Competence:
Tim graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004 with a Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences with First Class Honours in Statistics and Applied Maths. From 2005 to 2008, Tim was employed by TRC Mathematical Modelling at the University of Adelaide as a Research Associate. In this role, Tim played a key role in a range of projects involving advanced modelling and analysis, including the development of a number of techniques and methodologies designed to facilitate various modelling and analysis required by the clients of TRC Mathematical Modelling. One example of this work was the development of a tool designed to estimate the probability of missile impact over a two-dimensional area and thus determine an exclusion zone.
Tim joined Health Outcomes International in 2008 as a consultant analyst. Since this time, Tim has been involved in a variety of projects such as:
- The evaluation of community pharmacy programs, such as the Diabetes Medication Assistance Service;
- The evaluation of the Victorian Government Better Skills, Best Care program for improving the utilization of clinical staff with emergency departments;
- The evaluation of a Mobile MRI Unit operating in Gippsland, Victoria;
- A review of Social Support and Respite in the Home and Community Care (HACC) and Aged Care Programs.
Through these projects, Tim has applied various techniques for the analyses and presentation of data, including statistical hypothesis testing, generalized linear models, correlation analysis and the development of sampling frameworks.
Tim has also been heavily involved in the management, maintenance and interrogation of databases to support the above evaluations.
